Dalia Haj-Omar

Dalia Haj-Omar is a member of Girifna, a Sudanese nonviolent youth movement calling to challenge Sudan’s dictatorship with national civil disobedience. Haj-Omar is a human rights advocate and political activist with more than 10 years of experience in conflict management and peace building in the Middle East and North Africa. She has worked with organizations such as Human Rights Watch, Doctors Without Borders, and UNICEF in Sudan. She has a master’s degree in international development and development economics from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree in international peace studies from the University of Notre Dame.
