HRF condemns the continued detention of five Mother Nature activists in Cambodia and calls on the regime to release them immediately and cease political prosecution of environmental defenders.

Ten Mother Nature youth activists were charged in 2021 with plotting against the government and insulting the monarchy after documenting waste runoff into the Tonle Sap River near the royal palace. Their latest bail denial comes as members of the group appeal their lengthy six to eight-year sentences.
