As we mark the fifth anniversary of the Taliban takeover, HRF stands in solidarity with the people of Afghanistan as they continue their struggle for fundamental rights and freedoms. Afghan human rights defenders and activists have faced threats, arbitrary arrests, and ill treatment. In July, the regime raided the office of the Women and Children Legal Research Foundation and detained six staff members.
