In the lead up to the presidential election re-run that will be held later this month, the opposition has made calls for the removal of members from Kenya’s electoral commission after the Supreme Court cancelled the presidential election result from this past August citing irregularities.

Police Tear-Gas Kenyan Vote Protesters as Crowds Gather in Cities

Police fired tear gas on Friday at opposition protesters in Kenya’s capital who were demanding that officials involved in August’s canceled presidential election be sacked.

Crowds had gathered in Nairobi, the port of Mombasa and Kisumu, the western stronghold of the opposition, for the second time this week.
