1/ On this day in 2020, Nigerian security forces massacred peaceful #EndSARS protesters who were waving Nigerian flags and singing the national anthem at the Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos while demanding an end to police brutality and impunity.

2/ Nigerian authorities have yet to comply with a July 2024 ruling of the Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States, which ordered the Nigerian government to pay compensation for the victims and survivors of the Lekki Toll Gate massacre. (CNN)
