1/ HRF calls on Thailand to immediately and unconditionally release Chinese pro-democracy activist Zhou Junyi. If Zhou is extradited back to China, he could face abuse, torture, and a lengthy prison sentence.

2/ In June, Zhou, an exiled activist and a member of the banned China Democracy Party, was arrested in Bangkok after organizing a commemoration to honor the victims of the 1989 Tiananmen massacre. Thai officials claim Zhou was arrested over visa violations. (HKFP)
