Opposition parties in Togo are protesting against President Faure Gnassingbe who has been in power since 2005.

(Africanews) – Hundreds of Togolese opposition members turned up for the new round of anti-government protests in the capital Lome on Monday. Wednesday’s march was largely peaceful according to reports from local media.

The protest is expected to continue today Thursday (November 30) with the last in the series, planned for Saturday December 2 according to an itinerary published by the opposition coalition.
