Over nearly a decade, HRF has successfully litigated dozens of cases, achieving a 100% success rate in petitions on behalf of victims of arbitrary detention.
While the UN Working Group on Arbitrary Detention (WGAD) receives thousands of submissions annually and decides on only a small fraction of cases, every decision issued on HRF’s petitions has been in favor of our clients. Our team represents individuals whose cases are emblematic of the brutality of dictatorships — from artists to opposition leaders to lawyers to religious figures.
